Once renowned for its lawlessness and drug cartels, Colombia is now a much more stable
country, though by no means free from problems. The significant story is that in
spite of the years of lawlessness, the Church has grown. The way that the gospel
transformed the notorious Bellavista Prison is cause for much praise to God.
GBM has been involved in Colombia for thirty years through our connection with the
Biblical Seminary in Medellin. It has been a joy to see the impact that the Seminary
has had on so many churches across Colombia and beyond. Colombia continues to be
one of the neediest countries in Latin America, with far fewer evangelicals than
most Latino countries.
