Engaging with Asians

In the 2011 census 4,193,600 people recorded themselves as either Muslim, Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist. While not all of these would be Asian in background, the majority either come from the Asian sub-continent or have been born here in the Asian community. While many Grace Baptist churches are gathering people from African, Latino and Filipino backgrounds, few are seeing much progress among Asians. They are a massive evangelistic need.

We are inviting you to join us for an Engage leader’s forum to discuss how we can make evangelism among Asians a focus for our churches.

What is the best way to engage Asians with the gospel? What do Asians think of your church?  How might your church reach out more effectively to Asians in your neighbourhood? What resources are available to use? These are the questions we hope to cover during the day.

The programme will include PowerPoint presentations by missionaries, round table discussions in small groups, and a panel discussion after lunch involving those who are working among Asians. Each day will finish with Sukesh Pabari sharing his story of how he came to Christ from a Hindu background.

This is an event for pastors, elders, women workers and all those with an interest in reaching out to the Asian community, both men and women.

There is no charge for the day, and coffee and lunch are provided free of charge.
