Annual Mission Day

GBM Annual Mission Day is one of the largest events in Britain that is completely dedicated to world mission. Because we are a church-based mission, it is an event that brings together churches, not just to hold our annual business meeting for church delegates, but also because so many churches see world mission as their task and they want to be part of the day in all that happens.

Annual Mission Day brings together about 800 people from hundreds of churches, united by an interest in world mission. The day includes a wide range of presentations made by serving missionaries, a multi-media presentation in the afternoon which explores the theme of the day, and a keynote preacher who brings and exposition from God’s Word in the final session. There is also a children’s programme, and the building is filled with loads of exhibitions and resources, as well as displays from our partner missions.

If you want to get a feel for GBM, coming to Annual Mission day is essential. Meet new missionaries, see new resources freshly published, and be ready to be challenged to think about aspects of mission you hadn’t explored before. We promise you will go home wanting to bring others from your church next time.

Annual Mission Day 2018

GBM Annual Mission Day this year is on 27 October 2018. The venue is the Renewal Centre in Solihull. There is extensive free car parking facilities at the centre. For details of coach parking please visit their website. As well as the main meeting hall, ‘The International Suite’, we’ll be using a number of rooms for break out sessions during the day. A selection of hot and cold snacks will be on sale at the Renewal Centre.

THE TASK OF MISSION IS BY NO MEANS FINISHED. Many nations and people groups remain unreached – that is, the Christians among them are so few that they need outside help to reach the whole of their nation. Some of these people groups are remote tribes, others are nations within Europe. In vast areas of Central Asia there are people who have never met a real Christian or heard a presentation of the gospel. If we are to be committed to reaching every people and every nation then the task is huge and we must redouble our efforts in the work of world mission.

Join us for GBM’s Annual Mission Day in Solihull. Listen to presentations from those serving in mission. Be encouraged as a great crowd of Christians worship God together. Finish the day with ministry from David Campbell from North Preston Evangelical Church.

Missionaries expected to take part include: Jason and Andrea Murfitt, Chris and Helen Hawthorne, and missionaries from Central Asia, as well as UK Asian outreach, and GBM’s radio and literature ministries.

GBM Annual Mission Day includes our Annual General Meeting in the morning session. This is for delegates from GBM member churches. To find out whether your church is a member church, please contact Mission Centre.
