We have a number of DVDs available that feature different areas of our work. When a new DVD is produced, we send a copy free to each supporting church. Extra copies are available for sale from GBM Mission Centre. You will also find them for sale on the resources desk at any of our events.

A Journey Across Africa

Have you seen our DVD about our work in Africa? Released October 2017, a copy has been sent to every GBM supporting church. This DVD is designed to be used either in a midweek meeting as a one-hour presentation, or it can be viewed in episodes of a few minutes each.

Presented by Jim Sayers, his journey begins in South Africa, visiting Morning Star Children’s Centre, and understanding the issue of HIV. South Africa is also the base of TWR, the station that airs our English radio programmes in Anglophone Africa. In Burkina Faso, Jim sees how Ian Flanders’ radio ministry is having an impact on the ground through local French-speaking radio stations. Then he travels to Ouagadougou to visit a couple working in Bible translation and medical work. A number of other countries are featured, including Ethiopia, Zambia and Zimbabwe, before Jim travels to Kenya, to see what God is doing in both Nairobi and Kisumu.

Running time: 60 minutes. Price £3.50 including postage and packing.

World mission begins in your Church.

The biblical pattern for world mission always begins with local churches sending out their best to reach the nations for Christ. As the gospel spreads out into the world, it  also ripples back to change and shape the churches that send or support the work of mission.

This three-part DVD course explores the following:

The countries of New Europe are some of the most spiritually needy in the world.

Among the river people

Jason and Andrea Murfitt live in a creek on the river Amazon, seeking to reach out to the river people around them and in communities across the vast Brazilian state of Amazonas.

In 2013 Jim Sayers visited them, and travelled with Jason on his local visits to a brick factory, and to islands in the river, as well as taking a longer trip out to a remote river community. Bonus feature: living as a mish kid in the Amazon.

Into all the world

GBM’s 150th Anniversary Thanksgiving was an unforgettable day, with 1400 people joining us to give thanks to God for what he has done through us. This DVD is a recording of the afternoon main presentation, tracing the history of GBM from its roots in the 1860s, through a century of work in India, and then being thrust ‘into all the world’.

A succession of past and present missionaries tell their stories, with musical interludes from the Chertsey Street Baptist Church Choir, and an unforgettable encounter with a woman in a Burka!

Running time 1 hour 20 mins. Price £3.50 including postage and packing.

Bringing the gospel to the mountains of death.

In 1913 Jesse and Evelyn Brand began their married life together on the Kolli hills, living among a tribal people who for seven years remained steadfastly opposed to the gospel. Only in 1921 did a breakthrough come, and a church was planted among this people group.

This DVD tells their story through an interview with their daughter, Connie Wilmshurst, sister to the renowned Leprosy doctor, Dr Paul Brand, and herself a missionary to Nigeria. Be inspired by the story of God’s work in this remarkable family.

Running time: 14 minutes. Price £1.50 including postage and packing.
