We are touch with a number of pastors in Zimbabwe and we recently received this short note from which seems to sum up the situation in remarkably few words:

Méditations quotidiennes (Daily Bible Readings)
(Espérance aujourd’hui)
The second booklet bringing together a selection of the short Bible meditations that usually feature towards the end of the programme "Espérance Aujourd'hui". The booklet is designed, if desired, to be used as a daily Bible reading programme and provides one month of readings (per volume).
Le deuxième livret regroupant une sélection de courtes méditations bibliques, généralement apportées à la fin des émissions Espérance Aujourd'hui. Si vous le désirez, ces méditations peuvent être lues au rythme d'une par jour. Elles devraient ainsi couvrir un mois entier par volume.
Bible Survey: Job (Serving Today)
The book of Job is probably one of the earliest books in the Bible. It deals with suffering, a particularly relevant theme for believers today. But the book of Job also teaches us about wrong ways of dealing with suffering in the believer.
David: The Shepherd who Became King Volume 5 (Sound Words)
This is the fifth volume in our series on the life of David and covers perhaps the saddest period of his life. It deals with the consequences of his adultery with Bathsheba. Even through the despair of David’s experiences, we see God’s holiness and mercy at work.
50 Years of Radio Booklet – O Earth! Hear
A booklet marking 50 years of GBM’s radio has been written and compiled by former GBM worker, Philip Grist.
The book tells the Radio story over the past 50 years from the rather primitive days in India and all the problems that we faced in those days, to the more sophisticated days of the 21st century. We’ve gone right through the whole of the story covering every era of the radio ministry to the present time.

ESPÉRANCE AUJOURD’HUI (Hope for Today) is designed to bring the hope of the gospel and biblical teaching to bear upon the types of situation that folk may face in the French speaking African context. It has an application for believers and unbelievers. Booklets based on programme content are sent to those stations wishing to give them to interested listeners.
SOUND WORDS is a programme in English, aimed essentially at the teaching of the Scriptures but includes programmes that share the gospel.
SERVING TODAY is a programme in English, aimed essentially at helping teachers and church leaders in the study of the Scriptures and in the preparation of sermons.
