Meet the Team
Ian Flanders
Ian produces the French speaking radio programme Espérance Aujourd’hui and regularly contributes material to Serving Today. Before joining the radio team in 2003 he had spent fourteen years in missions work in France, much of that time working in a multi-ethnic context.
Ian est le producteur de l’émission francophone Espérance Aujourd’hui. Egalement, il fournit régulièrement du matériel aux émissions Serving Today.
Avant de s’impliquer en 2003 dans l’équipe radio, Ian a passé quatorze ans en France, en tant que missionnaire. Il travailla notamment dans les milieux multiculturels.
Hélène Flanders
Hélène provides secretarial support for Ian Flanders and co-presents Espérance Aujourd’hui. She also adapts the scripts from the programmes into booklet form and oversees their printing and distribution. She grew up in the south of France where she met Ian, marrying him in 1995.
Hélène est la secrétaire d’Ian et co-présente Espérance Aujourd’hui avec lui. Elle adapte également le matériel diffusé sous forme de brochures, puis organise l’impression et la distribution de ces brochures.
Hélène a grandi dans le sud de la France où elle a rencontré Ian. Ils se sont mariés en 1995.
Andrew Cook
Andrew has been with the GBM radio team since 2004. His main interest is producing audio material that applies biblical truth to contemporary issues. He contributes items for Serving Today, the programme for pastors and church leaders.
Derek French
Derek French produces and presents Sound Words and Serving Today. Derek’s background is in electrical engineering. After theological training he served the Lord as a pastor in two churches over a number of years. In 1992, he joined the GBM Radio Team.
Ruth Sadler
Ruth Sadler joined the radio team in April 2010 as an assistant. Her main responsibilities are copying large volume of radio programmes ready for dispatch to radio stations, overseeing the printing of booklets to accompany programmes, and other secretarial duties.
