At GBM Mission Centre we have been overwhelmed with messages of greeting, thanks and praise to God for last Saturday’s Anniversary Thanksgiving. It was a unique and special day, with some 1400 people present filling the main hall and all the overflow rooms. We enjoyed great ministry from Don Carson, and a large number of missionaries took part. We are most thankful to Johnny Gooch and his musicians, and to Steve Gandy and the Chertsey Street Choir, for all they added to the day. The BBC service has very well received, and we have received many encouraging emails from people unknown to the Mission who heard it. If you wish to read a transcript of the service, you can download the full BBC script here.
All sessions were recorded on both video and audio, and audio recordings are now available from Mission Centre. Please contact us via our contact page.
There has been a remarkable response to the afternoon session ‘Into all the world’ which many said they found deeply moving. We hope to have DVDs of Don’s talks and a DVD of the ‘Into all the world’ presentation available in the next few weeks. We will post details here as soon as we have them.
Date of next year’s Annual Meetings: Saturday 27th October 2012, Friends Meeting House, Euston, London. As a result of the remarkable support for our Anniversary Thanksgiving at Solihull and the popularity of holding this on a Saturday, GBM Council has decided to continue the experiment of holding our Annual Meetings on a Saturday. Full details will follow here as soon as we have them.
