Saved2Serve 2015

Saved2Serve is an annual event for young people aged between 15 and 25. It has a very clear aim and seeks to

“Glorify God by propelling young people into the Lord’s service for the strengthening of the churches”

The event is aimed at trying to help young Christians realise that all of us are called to go. Whether that is to go to our friends at school or work, or to go to the very ends of the earth, this truth is still the same.  Since Christ came so far to find us, then shouldn’t we at least be able to go and try to rescue our friends?

As well as challenging young people about their need to go, Saved2Serve also seeks to help equip them for the task. Each year there is a main speaker and workshops that run to help people think biblically about world views and life choices.

This year’s main speaker is David Hircock. David is the pastor of Hayes Lane Baptist Church, Bromley and has spoken before at Saved2Serve.

David grew up in a non-believing family and had only been to church a few times before he was converted. He started reading the Bible as a teenager and trusted in Christ whilst studying for his A-levels. After university, David worked as a research scientist before studying at theological seminary. He has been a full-time pastor for 31 years.

David will be getting us into the Bible, looking at how the Holy Spirit works in conversion, that ‘Revolution’ that takes place in someone’s life when they meet Jesus, repent and turn to him in faith.

As well as David this year we’re joined by Adam Laughton, Stefan Cantore, Neil Richardson and David Partington who will be running workshops on how the Holy Spirit changes the lives of believers in different areas.

Saved2Serve takes place at All Nations Christian College, Hertfordshire. The extended weekend is full board, with a full English breakfast each morning. There is a great music group and a legendary bookstall.
