Opportunities

for service

Serbia is a country still trying to emerge from the consequences (economic, social and political) of civil war. National identity and the Serbian Orthodox faith are closely tied. Evangelicals are often viewed with suspicion and as a sect. Although there is an openness among the young, in this context evangelism and church-planting is far from easy. Some good churches are being planted, and there are those who are working

together to promote good preaching and fellowship between evangelical churches. There is a huge need to train young people for future service. Evangelicals are so few on the ground (less than 1%) that there is a long way to go.
