In 2017 we move our summer holiday event to Charney Manor in Oxfordshire. Nestling
below the Chilterns among picturesque Oxfordshire villages, Charney Manor was built
in the thirteenth century, but is now a modern, well-equipped conference centre.
The aim of the week is ministry, mission, and time to enjoy a rest and relaxing with
Christian friends in a beautiful and quiet environment. Each morning we begin the
day with Bible ministry from Derek French. Derek served as a pastor, and then as
a Bible teacher and radio producer with GBM Radio. Each evening we will have mission
presentations focussing on different parts of the world.
There are lots of places to visit in the afternoons, including nearby Buscot Park
and Waterperry Gardens. (Organised outings are of course optional, and incur an additional
charge.) There will also be a visit to the radio team at GBM Mission Centre in Abingdon.
This is an all-inclusive holiday, and all meals are of the highest standard. Charney
Manor is renowned for its high quality, traditional home-cooked meals. Accommodation
consists of single and twin bedrooms. Twin bedrooms must be booked on the basis of
two people sharing. The majority of rooms are en-suite, and all come equipped with
tea and coffee making facilities, towels, toiletries etc, and great views of the
