An Envision Team is a great place to grow in Christ as a group of you serve together. On a team you will gain experience of gospel work in another culture, in a variety of different forms of outreach to adults, or in youth and children’s work. The goal of all Envision Teams is to do gospel work together that helps the churches and missionaries that we go to serve.
Each Envision Team has experienced leaders, who will lead a daily devotional programme for the team as well as organising their daily schedule. The team needs to work together as a unit in testing circumstances, so it is vital that you are adaptable, team-minded, and up for a challenge.
Who can serve?
There are some key requirements of anyone who serves on an Envision Team. You must be a baptised church member, and come with the recommendation of your church. We will also complete a DBS check on all successful applicants. You must be aged 18 or over, but Envision is not just for young people – older Christians are welcome to apply.
What does a team achieve?
Last year we sent teams to Bordeaux in France and Rome in Italy. To read the full story of what our Envision Team to Rome achieved in 2019, see our news item When in Rome…
“It was so encouraging to see the work that the churches in Rome were doing, their clear love for their communities and their desire to reach them with the gospel. But we were also confronted with the great need for a reformation in Rome. As a spiritually lost city, there is a lot of prayerful work to be done and few workers to do it”
Matt Beaumont and James Baldwin
Where can I go?
Sadly the coronavirus restrictions meant that we had to cancel our 2020 Envision Teams to Ireland and Poland. God willing we will run these, and possibly some others, in 2021. Please contact the Mission Centre to register your interest and we will let you know as soon as details are available.
