Week of Prayer 2022 – ‘Let the word of the Lord run’

GBM’s annual Week of Prayer takes place this year from Sunday 12 June until Sunday 19 June. Please join us for some special times of prayer during this week – in your church, small group, family or individually – to bring GBM’s missionaries and their ministries before the Lord.

Our theme for this year is Let the word of the Lord run.

The Apostle Paul penned an important prayer request: ‘Pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified’ (2 Thessalonians 3:1, NKJV).

We share the apostle’s longings to see more gospel fruit – more converts and more disciples growing in grace and love for Christ. We long to see God’s missionary servants strengthened, encouraged and equipped. And we long to see more gifted, called and Spirit-filled men and women sent out as missionaries into the Lord’s harvest field

So during our Week of Prayer this June, please join us in praying that the word of the Lord will run, bringing blessing to many and glory to God.

Each of the eight days (Sunday – Sunday) has a theme to help you focus your prayers on aspects of God’s work through GBM missionaries.

  • Sunday, 12 June – Laying Foundations
  • Monday, 13 June – Starting Out
  • Tuesday, 14 June – Building Up
  • Wednesday, 15 June – Pressing On
  • Thursday, 16 June – Reaching Far
  • Friday, 17 June – Gathering In
  • Saturday, 18 June – Finishing Well
  • Sunday, 19 June – Looking Forwards
