Training Matters – mounting challenges in Medellín
Theo and Sonja Donner have served in Medellín, Colombia since 1983. Theo teaches at the Biblical Seminary of Colombia (FUSBC) which is based in this rambling city of 2.4 million people. Like almost every part of the world, much of daily life in Colombia was shut down due to the coronavirus, although Medellín had at that time recorded relatively few cases.

The region was relatively stable at the time, with good inter-communal relationships making it safe for local Christians and Western missionaries to live and work there. Returning to Riga
When Daryl and Julia Jones made a missionary visit to Latvia to see the Firths and the Evans’s in Riga, it brought back memories of a previous visit twenty years ago.
As the plane took off our minds went back to the turn of the century when we made our first pastoral visit to Riga.
Hanson Manova
In October 2019 we enjoyed a visit from Hanson Manova, an Indian pastor from Namakkal in Tamil Nadu. Hanson trained in the evangelical theological seminary in Hosur near Bangalore, but has recently returned to his home town as an interim pastor to find a successor for his father, Stanley Jones, as pastor.
Ending the year in Zambia
Daryl and Julia Jones made a field visit to Zambia in November 2019 to visit Chris and Helen Hawthorne and their family at Proclamation Institute Zambia, and to take part in the end of year conference.
